I (Steve) work in production and have done so my whole professional life. In the middle of the U.S., far away from cities, there are places where you can still get a job with regular paychecks and acceptable health care benefits. I do this job because God gave me the responsibility to take care of Amelia, Harriet, and Edmund. That is what most of my days are about.
Those days and segments of days which are not for work are spent learning about technology from Bellevue University in Nebraska and the twit.tv network. I learn about theology from books and blogs. I enjoy reading Terry Pratchett novels and I have also decided to play board games as a hobby. My favorites are Ed Beach's Here I Stand and Martin Wallace's Ankh-Morpork.
In short, I'm a pretty ordinary, quiet fellow. I have a wonderfully talented wife who is a professional at everything. I have a brilliant, intense two year old girl and a contentedly unintense eight month old boy. I love the Lord and hope to serve him alongside these wonderful people, and this new blog seemed like the proper medium of the moment for stewarding the trust of time and gifts which he has given to us.
